Tooth Extraction

There are times when it is necessary to remove a tooth. A baby tooth may need removal if it has misshapen or long roots that prevent it from falling out as it should and blocking the way for the adult teeth.

A permanent tooth may need to be removed if it has so much decay that it puts surrounding teeth at risk of decay or cannot be salvaged. Other reasons for removal include infection, orthodontic correction or problems with a wisdom tooth.

When it is determined that a tooth need to be removed, Dr. Haque will remove the tooth using the latest techniques to provide the easiest and most pain free experience as possible. Once a tooth has been removed, if it is a permanent tooth, neighboring teeth may shift, causing problems with chewing or jaw joint function. Dr. Haque may discuss replacement of the removed tooth to avoid these complications.
